Managed Firewall
To better protect your colocated server and network infrastructure, Core NAP offers several managed firewall service plans. Starting at $145/month, Core NAP’s expert team will setup an industry leading Cisco security appliance at the front end of your network within Core NAP’s data center, saving you the up front cost of purchasing an expensive piece of hardware, as well as providing expertise in configuring and maintaining your firewall.
The Cisco ASA line of security appliances deliver many features including stateful packet inspection as well as protocol and application inspection, virtual private networking, and in-line intrusion protection.
Standard Capacity
This service utilizes Cisco ASA 5505. It supports up to 150 Mb/s of clear text traffic, and up to 100 Mb/s of 3DES traffic. 10,000 concurrent connections are supported, as well as up to 25 SSL VPN user sessions. Under this plan, Core NAP will provide two configuration changes* in the first month, and one change* each additional month.
Enhanced Capacity
This service utilizes Cisco models ASA 5510 through ASA 5550. Starting with the ASA 5510, this robust appliance delivers 300 Mb/s of clear text traffic, 170 Mb/s of 3DES traffic, 50,000 concurrent connections, and 250 SSL VPN user sessions. Plenty of capacity for most medium sized businesses. At the other end of line and built for the large enterprise, the ASA 5510 delievers 1200 Mb/s of clear text traffic, 425 Mb/s of 3DES traffic, 650,000 concurrent connections and 5,000 SSL VPN user sessions. Under this plan, Core NAP will provide four configuration changes* in the first month, and two changes* each additional month.
High Capacity
This service utilizes Cisco ASA 5580 series. Built for the large enterprise data center environment, the ASA 5580-20 platform supports 6,500 Mb/s of clear text traffic, 1,000 Mb/s of 3DES traffice, 1,000,000 concurrent connections and 10,000 SSL VPN user sessions. The ASA 5580-40 additionally supports 14,000 Mb/s of clear text traffic, and 2,000,000 concurrent connections. Under this plan, Core NAP will provide eight configuration changes* in the first month, and four changes* each additional month.
High Capacity with High Availability: This service is available using any of Cisco’s ASA line of security appliances. The ASA 5505 security plus option only provides Active/Standby capability. All other models support Active/Standby and Active/Active support.
