AUSTIN, Texas – March 16, 2009 – Core NAP, the most flexible data center solutions provider in Central Texas, today announced the company is providing the South By Southwest 2009 (SXSW) Conferences and Festivals, held in Austin from March 13 to 22, with colocation space and bandwidth for its servers. This is the sixth year that the Core NAP data center has hosted SXSW’s server infrastructure.
“SXSW has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years, and our IT requirements have increased exponentially during that time,” said Scott Wilcox, CTO of SXSW. “Core NAP has always shown the flexibility and technical expertise to help us manage this growth, and we’re proud to partner with the Core NAP team in an effort to keep the core of SXSW technical services local.”
Through Core NAP’s hosting and IT services, SXSW is able to offer hundreds of thousands of page views a day on SXSW.com during the course of the festival. Core NAP’s backend technology also supports the SXSW online registration system and the recently announced my.SXSW.com, the official social networking and scheduling tool for the 2009 conferences and festivals. Using my.SXSW, attendees can interact with one another, build their personalized conference schedules, join exclusive groups and establish relationships with other attendees.
